REDIRECT THE BUSYBODY

People who can't seem to stay out of other people's business often don't have enough business of their own. To deal with them effectively, remember:

1. Some Busybodies fear isolation; others want to be in control.

2. Move the Busybody into a position that fulfills her craving for contact.

3. Give the Busybody time - but direct the conversation to work issues.

4. Document your dealings in case discipline is required.
