CHILDREN OR COMFORT

If you were to leave earthly life tomorrow, your employer may offer condolences, send flowers and arrange for possible death benefits. But after that, they will surely find a replacement in a matter of days. But, the family you leave behind will definitely feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Now here's a question: why spend more time in other endeavors such as work when in the end, only your family, and your relationship with them, will remain? If these were finances, wouldn't that be such an unwise investment? No matter what situation you are in, whether you're single or married, young or old, there is always a family member you can run to.

These days, there are so many challenges to the family. More and more people prioritize material wants and needs over starting a family. For instance, many young people would rather save up for a car than prepare for a child. Some complain that they cannot have children because of budget constraints. Mass media also encourage a more materialistic view, with barrage of advertisements that make unessential products look more like necessities than what they really are - luxuries.

The funny thing is that the more you desire temporal goods, the more you feel empty and void.  The myth of being perpetually happy and rich is just that: a myth. Prioritizing the more important things in life means putting your family first.
