MUSTARD POTATO FRANKS

Mustard potatoes (below)
2 frankfurters or smoked sausage links
1 tablespoon shredded cheese

1. Prepare mustard potatoes
2. Split frankfurters lengthwise, not cutting completely through
3. Flatten frankfurters; place cut sides up on rack in broiler pan or on ungreased cookie sheet
4. Spread frankfurters with mustard potatoes; sprinkle with cheese
5. Set oven control to broil and/or 550ยบ
6. Broil frankfurters with tops about 5 inches from heat until cheese is melted, 4 to 5 minutes


MUSTARD POTATOES

1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon margarine or butter
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup instant mashed potatoes (dry)
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard

1. Heat water, milk, margarine and salt to boiling in 1-quart saucepan
2. Remove from heat; stir in remaining ingredients with fork until desired consistency

To Microwave:

1. Microwave water, milk, margarine and salt uncovered in 1-pint microwaveproof measure to boiling on high (full) power, about 2 minutes
2. Stir in remaining ingredients
3. Place split frankfurters, cut sides up, on microwaveproof plate
4. Spread with mustard potatoes; sprinkle with cheese
5. Microwave uncovered on high (full) power until cheese is melted and frankfurters are hot, 1 to 2 minutes
