One of the most amazing displays I saw in the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum was that of the entire New Testament written in tiny, microscopic script by an extremely talented Korean artist. But what made the exhibit even more amazing was the fact that when the artwork was viewed from a distance, one sees, not the script, but a picture of Jesus Christ in clouds of glory! It's only when you get closer that you realize that it's made up of words. To achieve the desired effect, the artist had highlighted various letters and words.
In life, we tend to look at the details more than the whole picture. Imagine eating only the corn bits in the salad, or seeing the scraggly branches instead of the entire tree, or the seemingly messy blotches of colors instead of the entire mural. Instead of nitpicking, focus on appreciating the whole thing. Instead of finding petty faults in others, respect them for their entirety - the good along with the bad. It is one of the best ways to make this planet a happy one.
